The 30 Minute Film Festival is an independent film festival founded by Sarah Fay Krom a long long time ago before we were even able to surf the Internet and find this website online. It challenges young film makers to collaborate creatively with other film makers from around the world to create a work in just under 30 minutes. Every year, young film makers from diverse background and trainings come together at New York University Abu Dhabi to create short films about a topic they are interested in. The challenge is to get to together in a team, scout the surrounding location, come up with and idea, and shoot footage within 30 minutes. This is where the name of the 30MFF comes from.
